Subject: [Leica] Your money and where Leica made the product

While one is absolutely entitled to get what one wants for his/her money,
and made where desired, don't let's blame a perfectly reputable Leica dealer
for shipping Portuguese manufactured product in a box stated to be from
Germany.

Hell, the box probably -was- made in Germany.

Leica is famous or infamous, as you choose, for making products in one
location or another, and shipping products with one place of manufacture on
the outside box containing product manufactured elsewhere. I have found Don
Chatterton terrific to deal with, even addressing questions when there is no
sale at hand, but that's not the point.

It's LEICA that has the track record for being wierd about product
manufacturing locations, and boxes stating another location, with a lens bag
from yet somewhere else. The point is NO dealer should be criticized for
this Leica eccentricity, only one of its many eccentricities, after all.
And no dealer should be asked to break the seal on sealed product. Leica's
packaging practice is the culprit here, not any dealer.

Make a photo. Enjoy the light.
