I thought that one of the advantages of digital is that you can use the info from several different scans to get the best result. Isn't it possible to make one scan "normal" and then another optimized to see into the shadows (on slide film) and then combine them? This would, in effect, enhance the range that you can capture, although I guess the output range would still be the same... Isaac > >
