Dan,

According to the Leica Pocket Book, the engraving was changed from "DBP" to
"GmbH" in 1954; according to the production data in the book, between 55000 and
60000 cameras with the GmbH engraving were made. Sounds like someone is just
hyping his camera on ebay.
