Subject: Re: [Leica] ASPH vs Non-ASPH: eyes

The 35 summicron with eyes is optically identical to the concurrently
produced non-eyes version. The eyes were only available on the first version
of the 35 summicron which was produced from 1958 to 1969. The best non-asph
version is considered to be the fourth version, the last non-asph version,
produced from 1979 to 1997.
