Subject: [Leica] that nasty tom abrahams ...

... and I mean that in the very kindest and most respectful way!

I had the very great pleasure of meeting Tom in person for the first
time last evening at the dinner that Peter Choy put together for us.
A big thanks to Peter for making the effort, we had a SPLENDID time.

One moment that sticks in my mind is of one of our participants (and
forgive my losing your name) sitting at his plate, fork in one hand
and Noctilust in the other. If I'd been quick enough to snap it, the
caption would be "Mmm, delicious. Pass the M3 please??"

Anyway, I was mentioning to Tom that I think we need a little
specialty piece offered for the M to make using a wrist strap much
better and he handed me his rapidwinder equipped M6. I've been
studiously avoiding actually trying one out because I *knew* it would
be like this, damn it. What a superb piece of equipment. I must have
one, I hate you Tom, thank you so much for letting me try it out...
sigh.

It was a great time and a wonderful get together. I think it just
cost me another $2500 worth of Leica addiction accommodation... More
of my collection of other cameras is likely due to be sacrificed to
this mainline drug now.
