Subject: [Leica] photographer's honeymoon...

On our honeymoon, we traveled from Chicago to Charleston.... I previously
picked out places where I wanted to photograph all along the route.... I
spent more time taking pictures than with my bride...

Looking back now..... I'm glad she was madly in love with me.... as she
didn't tell me what an idiot I was... I laugh thinking about it.... (I
don't think she can.... (I don't bring it up) maybe when we hit 50 years of
marriage) But after our next trip to the east coast a year later.... and
subsequent trips..... It was less than subtly expressed that it was our
vacation, not my just my vacation... so... ever since... I've tried really
hard to plan vacations as family time, not photo ops. Otherwise... I tend to
ignore my family.

Family is after all, to me at least, more important than photos or Leicas.

Duane
