JWoo,
  The longer set of lines in the upper part of the Minilux viewfinder are
the close-up frame marks used  to correct the framing of your picture when
focusing on a subject closer than 1.5 meters.

   The guide number of the flash is 11(ISO100/m)and it has a usable range of
.7m to 7.2m.
  The last dot on the manual focus is for 13.5m.
