When they tested the Noctilux, it did fail their resolution test of the time at certain apertures, but they said in the text that the lens was so significant and remarkable in other ways and more than that, their standards were biased in favour of mainstream 1.4 and 1.8 lenses that they felt that the Noctilux test should be published anyways.
