[Leica] More cameras in the movies

For those of you who suffered through "The End of the Affair" to catch a
glimpse of the Leica wielding detective, I offer up a much better movie,
"Joe Gould's Secret". Stanley Tucci, as well as directing, plays Joe
Mitchell, a writer for the New Yorker, who writes two articles on an ageing
eccentric bohemian, Joe Gould, played by Ian Holm. The story is mostly based
on fact and is very good, though a little sentimental and romantic. Pardon
the descriptive diversion and back to "Cameraspotting". Joe Mitchell's wife,
played by Hope Davis, is a photographer who uses a Contax III (could be a
IIIa ) and a Rolleiflex. The movie is well worth seeing on its own merits;
but, if your favourite movie to date is "Independence Day" followed closely
by "Armageddon", you may want to pass.
