I do think the project has merit, but at the moment, it feels as if you a
still just "looking" at her - there is a distance. And that is the difficult
art - there needs to be some emotional; contact between you - a gut feeling
of closeness or intimacy.  Look at say, Nick Waplingtons: Living Room or The
Wedding; some Gene Smith stuff; some MEM work.  That kind of closeness and
acceptance. (this is from a photographic point of view - from the personal
point of view, it depends a lot on ones own self, how close you can get, how
emotionally comfortable you are, how much of yourself you are willing to let
the subject. It's not the sort of work where you can keep emotionally
detached. It's probably going to cost you - it doesn't come free.
