Dick Hemingway et al,

>>24/2.8, 35/1.4, 35.2.0, 50/2.0, 80/1.4, 90/2.8, 100/2.8, 180/3.4,
180/2.8<<

Whoa, a great R line-up ;-)! And I gather you also have an M system!

My R lenses are: a.) 24/f2.8. b.) 35/f2. c.) 90/f2.8. d.) 100 apo. e.)
180/f2.8
apo. I use my R7 with the 24-35-90 lenses; the R8 with the two apos......

You'll notice with the exception of the 35 f2, all are f2.8. I finally
decided
that I wanted a faster ( f1.4/f2 ) portrait lens & that AF would allow me
to
capture "candids" better at these "wide open" apertures That's why I
bought the F100/85 f1.8..........to experiment!

And one thing led to another...... optimal bokeh w/either the Nikkor 85
f1.4 OR an Contax N1 with the 84 f1.4. Whew ;-)!
