Guy,
Leica-ists are not alone. The same problem exists with Märklin trains but they do
give you a little warning. For example today they might announce the availability
of a specific locomotive or something but they will say that the item will not
actually be available till first quarter 2002 or something like that. Builds
demand, interest, who knows. In the end they (Märklin) will laugh all the way to
the bank. Why should Leica be any different?
