Not only that, Mark, but remember---the M3 came out in 1954......

Nikon, Zeiss, and Canon had PLENTY of time to compete, and compete 
they did....till the late sixties....but Leica won in the end....
(I personally wish Nikon had hung in there with the SP-2/SPX....but 
hey?????)

I suspect that folks thought the CLE would kick Leica's butt....but 
twenty years later, no more CLE, no CLE parts, so sorry.....but 
those damn ol' m2s and m3s are still hackin' away.....

I'm sure the Hexar will fare the same.....pity, tho...I'd LOVE for 
some company to REALLY kick Leica in the butt....:):):):)
