Subject: [Leica] Rangefinder comparison in AP

A propos the Hexar vs. M6 "debate" here during the past couple of days,
the September 2 issue of Amateur Photographer, which I just received
today, has a comparison of the M6, Hexar RF, Bessa R and Contax G2. It
is not a formal test, no scores are assigned, and price is not taken
into account, just picture quality. The M6 gets the nod as the winner
(because it produced the best chromes) but the writer notes that there
are people who would have perfectly sensible reasons for buying one of
the others. The article is marred by at least a couple of errors: it
implies that the M6 has a self-timer and that it does not have a 135mm
frameline.
