It is quick and easy to mount and dismount a lens. This is the big
advantage of bayonet mounts over screw mount. But unlikely many bayonet
mounts, the Leica lenses do not have fragile parts sticking out so that you
can put the lens down without worrying about breaking anything. So, the M
mount is fast and sturdy and therefore the best.
