Yeah, but the vast majority of tube equipment sells for about $1K.  And
sounds deliciously better than transistors.  Check out the very Canadian
www.partsconnection.on.ca or the wild and wacky bottleheads at
www.bottlehead.com for sonic enlightenment.  It will be like using your
rangefinder for the first time.

How about brand new tube amps?  A company called Audionote sells a tube amp
that puts out about 7 watts/channel for $90,000.  Heck, you can't get "real
high-end" speaker cables for the price of a Leica 0.  And people think our
hobby is expensive????
