I would have no way of knowing, other than what I read in the renowned 
article on bokeh, in Photo Techniques.  Best I can recall, it mentioned the 
'69 design.  As Casey Stengel used to say, "You could look it up."  The 
essential point of my posts is that I relied on a second-hand report on a 
subject which is a very difficult one on which to report authoritatively.  
The actual Leitz or Leica lens is a secondary question, which may be of 
concern to those contemplating purchase of a Hexar, but not to me.  Been 
there, done that.
