Simon,
I'm sure the GR1 came out before the Leica-fit lens, something which had 
happene with other P&S cameras, the Konica Hexar 35/2, the Minolta (?) and 
their 28/3.5 lens etc...
the difference with this is that the lens appeared forst in LTM and only 
now has become available in a camera.
