This is indeed how Arca releases the lockup. I asked the Arca rep. You need
leverage to tighten it tighter than tight.

I believe Arca mod's the B1 (if it isn't the latest version) as I sent mine
in to be unlocked and that was ten years ago. It hasn't even hinted of
locking up since.
