And that's why the M/softie combo is so great. It's the only camera it's
more convenient to hold _up_ from the right hand, with the thumb operating
the shutter release. This makes taking verticals much easier and - at least
for me - attractive.
That said, having passed on my Abrahamson softies I'm now using the Nikon
ones which are smaller and don't obstruct access to the small shutter dial
so much. Presumably on the TTL this wouldn't be such a problem.
If Tom wants to make them (if _only_ he wanted to make them!), I'll buy a
couple of shutter dial extenders - just raise the dial up 3 mm.
BTW, Tom, is the rapidgrip now available? Shipping to Europe? Wish the
dollar was cheaper!

You've got it right Simon... Your right thumb does exactly the same thing
when photographing vertically.
