Good evening Alastair,
From what I've read, the black ones are slightly better optically. However
I don't think there is much difference. I would have liked to have a black
version, but both times when I bought mine, it was the silver version.
Anyway, the gadget I made for it, also shields
the chrome reflections of the camera. By the way, I said, I used a M3,
that was not right, it was a M1, which I bought as a user camera. I use it
for all my close-up stuff with the Visoflex permanently attached. That way
I can have all the Visoflex and bellows stuff together and use my other
cameras for normal picture taking.
