I am a dummy!!!

The focus mounts for the 50/2 are standard and the 50/2 optical units are
all selected for a focal length of 51.9mm. Thanks to Mike J. for pointing
this out and getting me digging for the specifics.

You can use the optical unit from the early rigid chrome 50/2 (SOSIC/11818),
the DR or the 50/2 11817. Regardless, you will have to have your new lens
collimated and I am not about to get into the old std/DR debate on whether
they have the same or different optical formulations.
