The Leica M-cassette is a pain to load, but it works very well. I have a lot
of them (around 150 I think) and occasionally I go nuts and load Super-XX or
Agfapan 250 movie stock in them. They are heavy, clumsy but you never get a
scratch on the film. A 400 ft can of moviestock gives me about 75 fully
loaded cassettes, enough for a week or two of shooting. I have tried the
Nikon cassette, did not like it, tried the Canon cassette, did not like that
one either (I do keep a couple of Canon and Nikon rangefinders around, just
to reinforce my own belief, that the Leica M is the best!).
Avoid using Tech-Pan in M-cassettes. The spring that holds the end of the
film on the centerspool is strong and trying to tear TechPan is futile (and
you can never find the knife or scissors in the dark! This is one of the laws
of darkroom work!).
