Subject: [Leica] colour rendition

This is a cry for help to all those planet-brains out there.
Can anyone (yes, Erwin, this means you) comment on how different lenses
render the colour content of a scene? Is this something that can be
quantified? I suppose the film will enter into it as well. Is there such a
thing as a colour neutral film?
Colour seems to be a rather neglected area of discussion here - all lens
discussion centres around MTF, etc. Are these parameters
wavelength-independent?
Rob.
