In that part of the world, at that time of the year, the relevant 
gastronomic recommendation would involve details on how to avoid 
eating too much of  all those good things. I'm afraid I'm unable to 
give such recommendations. After all, I am only human.

Otherwise, open the door to the eating places: does it smell nice in 
there, do the people eating there look nice, happy and satisfied, do 
you fell comfortable there? If yes, then have meal there. Look at 
what the people around you are eating, if it looks nice ask them if 
what it is and if it is good and then order the same. If  you ask a 
local, then you will probably get the speciality of that particular 
restaurant at that time of the year. One of the things email is not 
quite so good at.
