Subject: [Leica] Cambridge Camera Exchange ripped me off

A few months ago, there was a brief discussion about
Cambridge Camera Exchange, in New York.

After my experience with them, I can only recommend
avoiding this dishonest operation.

Last June, I ordered four B+W filters from them. After
four weeks, I had received nothing. I was informed the
filters were backordered, and to give them "another
week".

After two weeks, I really needed the filters. I called
Cambridge, and the filters were still backordered. I
cancelled the order, and requested a refund. I
bought the filters locally.

Now, over four months later, I have not received a
refund, nor any filters. I have phoned numerous times,
and I am always told that a refund will be given "today".
Still no refund! It seems clear that they have no
intention of refunding my money.

I have filed a complaint with the New York Better
Business Bureau. If you check their website
http://www.bbb.org (use area code 10011) you will
see that Cambridge Camera Exchange has the BBB's
lowest rating, with numerous and varied complaints.

I hope others will learn from my experience, and
avoid the grief of dealing with Cambridge Camera
Exchange.
