Erwin, I hava one question to ask within the "system"... should not the resolution of the paper be considered as part of the optical chain? Eye->Film->Paper->Eye with 2 optical interfaces. I have had this particular discussion with a large format photographer on the West Coast, that claims that B+W paper is significantly lower in resolving power than Ilfochrome.....is there any implication for the tests you are performing?
