Rob,

A pleasure to hear from you and thanks for the information.
'Leica Fotografie' celebrated it's 50th anniversary this year, though it
wasn't printed in English until 1953, 1952 was a strange year when they
offered English translations inserted into the magazine, very cute!

best regards,
Jem

Jem,

My No. 1, Vol.1 of Leica Photography is dated Spring 1948. It was a
quarterly magazine that cost 25 cents an issue but was sent free to all
registered Leica camera owners residing within the United States and US
Territorial Possessions. Subscription rates for non-owners of Leica
cameras
in the US was $1.00 per year. If you lived elsewhere, it was $2.00 per
year whether you owned a Leica or not.

Good Luck,
Rob McElroy
Buffalo, NY
