Focussing is no problem at all, even at F4. Getting things out of focus is
more of a challenge than getting them in :-)

I've noted several s/h prices at around the 130 (UKP)  mark now, a bargain
price for a great little performer. And as for that scale focusing, it
sounds strange until you try it, look at the depth of focus and realise
that focusing needn't be necessary every time you click that shutter.

If you want something cheaper and it doesn't _have_ to be Leica glass, have
you considered a new Voigtlander 25mm? They go for around 180-200 UKP here
in the UK. I use one on an M6 and work outside the 28mm frame to give an
approximation of the coverage (even with the viewfinder that comes with the
lens there's a certain amount of guesswork involved).
