Another good alignment tool is the Versalab Parallel. It is not
expensive and is incredibly easy to use. I have a Saunders LPL 4550 and
it is supposed to be permanently aligned. Ha! Permanently misaligned,
but with the Versalab and some Gaffer's tape it was easy to shim the
negative holders and the easel so that they both are in the same plane
as the lens. Why use a great lens and camera if the enlarger is out of
alignment?
