We would do well to remember that it can be an intimidating experience posting a message to this list. Not only are there many very experienced and professional photographers who frequent here, but as a newcomer you can easily get the feeling you're crashing a party where everyone (seemingly) knows everyone else except you. When you finally speak up, it can actually be quite unnerving to have the "regulars" respond that your question is stupid or dull. Even if the statement is made in jest, email is a poor medium for communicating sarcasm and it inevitably comes off sounding harsher than was probably intended. After awhile, of course, you realize everyone's just as naive as you are--they're only better at faking expertise. :) Photography is utlimately a great leveler: every picture is brand new, and very often the less you "know" on a shoot, the more you _see_. That's why 11 year olds can sometimes take photos that are as captivating as those taken by us veteran Leicaholics. ;) Regards, Dan > I get tired of these questions too.
