I received some very valuable feedback off list, and some comments on list to which I'd like to briefly respond. First of all while I didn't realize I caught Tony after a quick trip to Burger King, I was on the lookout for Herrn Fischer in case he started duffing up one of our fine officers of the law. But I guess I missed that one. :-) Mike D asked about carrying a notebook. I'm much too lazy to do any such thing, but I'm fairly sure of the exposures in this case. For one thing I processed them just a few hours after taking them. For another, I only actually shot one roll, so there's not a lot to remember. I also tend to be pretty deliberate about choosing a shutter/aperture combination. Maybe this comes from the fact that until last year I had no camera with a built in meter. Or I could just be too wrapped up in technical irrelevancies, I don't know Wilber was nice enough to comment on my printing. Thanks! There's not a lot to say about it, however. I print on a condenser enlarger, rarely do anything fancy like split printing and other than a bit of normal dodging and burning, these are straight prints. One thing, though, I'm very grateful to the LUG for turning me on to XTOL. Since I made the switch my negatives almost print themselves. I just hope the new Delta 400 reacts as well as the current film does. I'm curious: The weather really was horrible. Was I the only LUGGER dumb anough to be out there? Simon Stevens
