Are yours black plastic Byron?
I wonder if mine are.
I think the slides are metal.
I guess they're all different. My old ones were wood with metal slides but these
ARE probably plastic. But hard and thick.

I see the Maco in my local photo stores walk-in but i wonder how long it will be there.

The Kodak HIE has been around awhile and i think it will still be made for years
to come.
