Subject: [Leica] Visoflex problem...any advice?

I have just purchased a 400/6.8 lens to replace a 4005.6 Novoflex lens and
have encountered a peculiar quirk in the Visoflex 3 that I hope someone can
help me on. I have the shoulder stock with the pistol grip and I want to use
a cable release to activate a motorised camera through the Visoflex.
Unfortunately, the Visoflex 3 only moves the mirror slowly when you use the
cable release socket, you can only get the quick release by using the lever.
This gives the operator a considerable blackout period before the shutter
fires and the mirror returns.

Is there a work around for this?

Would a Visoflex 2a be any different?

Thanks in advance,

John Collier
