The 75/2,5 is a remarkable lens, particularly taking into consideration its
price and performance. It is not a 75/1,4 and it does not try to be a "super"
lens, but it is one of the truly outstanding "pocketable" long normals that I
have found. In the latest LHSA Viewfinder there are several shots taken with
the 75/2,5 inside the Cosina glassplant and Voigtlander assembly line and I
could have shot at 1/125 instead of 1/30 but the DOF would have been too
shallow and I would have had to drag the 75/1,4 almost 8000 miles for one set
of shots! My 75/2,5 is a very early one and the black finich does chip a bit,
but that is also due to the fact that i usually carry it in my pocket
together with an old Zippo lighter, small change and whatever else is dumped
in that particular vestpocket.
