Gentlemen,
While, one can understand your affection for and desire to own a 35-70mm
the ASPH zoom lens.
Why can't you understand the manufacturing problems Leica has/had in
making this lens? They ran into far more problems than they ever expected
when they tried to put this lens into production and with the limited
production capacity they have, they had to stop making it. Apparently, the
problems were so big, they were losing money on each lens.
Dr. Yao, your offer is wonderful, but would you pay three times the
previous price for the lenses?
I do not doubt for a minute, Leica would like to supply you with the
1000 lenses you requested, but right now, it just isn't possible right now.
Give them a break.....
