Thats what I did ALMOST. Except I built a little tiny darkroom off my
studio space. 6 foot sink down one side, 6 foot counter on the other, 40
inches between counter and sink. The size is a positive because I HAVE to
keep it neat and orderly!
I have a CPE2 and its kind of troublesome, but I'm still working on it -
still working on the C41 thang. B&W is a hand done process here. I do 4X5
in Jobo tanks rolling it in the sink - the CPE2 won't turn the drum with
12 sheets and chemicals. Not such a good feature that it won't turn what
will fit in the bed! Anyway rolling by hand it is kinda fun and
challenging to do well.

I'd think about one of the little Jobo 500 or 800 processors.
Just for one or two rolls at a time. They don't even need a temp control
- - its all built in. They show it in their brochure sitting out in
someones living room! Pretty cool.

I made 3 vertical slot tanks that are nice for making up to a 8.5X11
print or contact. They just sit there with little floating covers waiting
for me. I've run them for one week and the chemistry seems fine to go
that long. So for now I'm dumping them weekly. For fine work they get
fresh chems.
I also have a larger sheet of plastic that lays on top of those tanks so
I can work on something on top of them if needed and it seals them up
pretty tight.

You would probably be happier with putting your bucks in a digital
darkroom for color for sure! I think you can get better results for less
money.
YES ! I said less money. Unless you already have a fully equipped color
darkroom.
