Subject: [Leica] Karl Mueller Reproflex

I just picked up a most fascinating Reproflex reflex housing on e-Bay, made
by Karl Mueller, Jr., Memmingen. I suspect I am on firm ground linking
this firm to the current NOVOFLEX FOTOGERÄTEBAU KARL MÜLLER, also locaed in
Memmingen. This Reproflex seems to be a forerunner of the Novoflex reflex
units which appeared in both LTM/M and Contax RF versions.

Unfortunately, this unit, though it did come with the three close-up tubes
mentioned in the instructions (and with the instructions, also!), lacked
the release bridge, the linkage between the shutter release and the mirror
in the reflex unit. I have e-mailed the seller in hopes that he still has
this and will pass it along, but this is probably a vain hope. I may
contact Novoflex: they reproduced a one-off release bridge for my Contax
Novoflex reflex housing a decade back, and I may be able to sweet-talk them
into doing this again, for the Reproflex this time.

I am rather excited: yet another entry for the second edition (!) of my
LTM lens book!
