Subject: Re: [Leica] Bessa L and 20mm Russar

The Bessa-L and the 20mm Russar are incompatible, which is too bad! What
happens is that when you screw in the Russar, it clears the meterprism, but
the camera shell in the Bessa-L has a flange that catches the back of the
lens. You can screw it in and it fits, but when you try to focus at infinity,
the lens will only turn until about 3-4 meters and then jam against this
flange. The meter prism would be completely covered too, even if the lens
cleared the rear flange.
