Subject: RE: [Leica] Leica M 135 and M6 TTL .72

Greetings Mehrdad!

I haven't used the new f3.4 so I will not personally comment on that
lens. However, I have owned the f2.8/135 and used it on an M6. I found the
lens not to my liking. It is too big and heavy for my Leica kit. I found
that it failed to produce a sufficiently crisp and contrasty image. I found
that the eyes dimmed the viewfinder too much. I currently own and love the
f4.0/135, the E39 expression with reversible metal shade. This is a lens I
really enjoy...easy to focus, easy to carry...plenty sharp and
contrasty...quite inexpensive on the used market, too. However, I have
heard many comparisons which say the f3.4/135 is even better and quite
compact.

Does anybody know if this lens operates properly with the M6 ttl including
the external viewfinder that comes with the lens? I would appreciate feed
back on the lens and also any differences between the 2.8 and the current
3.4 apo
