I'm not Julian, but I've got an M4-2 from '77 and an M6 from '88. The 
M4-2 has smoother film advance and shutter release than the M6, 
but I like the convenience of the meter in the M6. Typically, when I 
carry both, the M4-2 has B/W film in, and the M6 color slide.
