I had similar odd light leaks on an M3.  It only happened when I changed lenses.  I had the shutter overhauled, and the problem went away.  I never found out sort of shutter problem might have caused it.

Hi,

I am interested in this.  I have two M6s.  The older one demonstrates the
very same phenomenon.  The new one doesn't.  I always have all my processing
done at the same lab.  It's not every photo, just now and again -- but
always the older M6.

Any ideas?
