Hi
One situation where green light blinking can occur is to warn of
overexposure. Are you using a very fast film? (You should still be able to
take the shot.)

Also, in manual "flash-off" or "slow" modes, the green light will flash to
warn of camera shake if you have insufficient light.

Maybe remove the battery to reset the program, clean the contacts and try a
new battery.
Could be worth a try...?   :^)
