This is just as annoying as it sounds and is why they are less expensive than the lever rewind M2 cameras. The very last button rewind M2 cameras have a latching button rewind that functions the same as the lever in that you do not have to hold it down while rewinding. These cameras are a good deal as they are less expensive than the lever rewind cameras but function just as well. Button rewind cameras (and early lever rewind cameras up to serial no. 105xxx) will have the early style of viewfinder which can only be updated to the six frame finder except by replacing the entire assembly. Yes you can update later cameras to six frames by just replacing the mask assembly for $150US approximately.
