Corel?
I used to think about it as a pretty lame stuff.
As a graphician, I am mainly using Macromedia Freehand and Adobe Illustrator and grew enoughly old to appreciate free space,
uncluttered with thousandsof windows, colour fields, numbers... Just clean space, little toolbox and inspectors; all hideable with
simple keystroke. Using common keyboard shortcuts. This is all I miss in Corel suite. i am used to using mainly keystrokes in both
Illustrator and PhotoShop. Have you tried this in Corel? And all these nifty little windows! I hyde them! Really!!! Grrrr!
(remember: soon FULL MOON!!!!!)

Corel is like SLR. or TIR girl.
Does everything OK, but isn't really good in anything.

As for Photoshop alternative, try Macromedia PicturePublisher for example...

Just my dime :)
