You can always buy a rubber shade that can be pulled back over the 
lens and you never ever need to unscrew it to save space. May not be 
the most esthetic solution though. Alternatively buy a jacket with 
extra large pockets, that is the solution I opted for. Too many 
lenses just increases the frustration.
