Correct Henry, it is under warranty and I will indeed have them fix it. Not
a problem. I think I was a little more concerned about the "age" of my "new"
camera. That's why I wonder If I can ask Leica the manufacture date by
serial number. I will email them and let you all know the results.

Why not simply call or email Leica and ask them?
If your camera is giving you trouble let them fix it.
It should be in warranty if you just got it in March.
