Yes, I do it every day, when I ride to work. My two M6s are in the newly
acquired Domke FX-5 (or whatever, the little bag I raved about the other day),
in the top case, on top of my soft leather briefcase, so that they are insulated
from the vibrations. If the wife asks me to pick up groceries on my way home,
then there is no space in the top case and I carry the Domke on my shoulder,
courrier-style. But I dislike the latter method for safety reasons.

And yes, I do countersteer, everyone does, whether they are aware of it or not.
The only exception would be if you slow down to parking lot speed before every
turn.
