I've never had it fire while rewinding, but mostly because I typically don't
rewind the film until the advance won't go anymore.  I also have a habit of
cranking the aperture to minimum and shutter speed to maximum (lens cap?
what's that??) while goofing with loading/unloading - this could help if you
have a problem with accidental exposures.  

Good luck with the pictures - hope nothing good got ruined!

I also have a question:

Last night, I was rewingding a roll and I accidentally pressed my
Softied shutter release. It fired. possibly fogging some film (we'll see
in a few days). I was a little surprised that the shutter would fire
while the rewind clutch is released. Has anyone else had this happen?
