Well, this _is_ a Leica mailing list, after all, so the question seems
reasonable.

Looks like standard photojournalism to me, or even fortuitous amateur
photojournalism.

It's easy to get compelling photos in compelling circumstances--that's why war
photography is so popular, and that's why a single photo of a burning Concorde
taken with a disposable camera can be sold for so much money.  The challenge,
however, is to take compelling photos in mundane circumstances.

Remember that photos do not always portray what they appear to portray (ask
Eddie Adams or Nick Ut).
